Browser History Cleaner 4.6

Do you know that your computer stores all history traces? Your PC stores all your history tracks - web sites you visited, what you searched in the Internet, information you enter on websites, files and documents you recently opened etc. But some history tracks can't be cleaned without clean history software as they are stored in different system areas, not always visible by standard means and can't be removed manually. Don't want to compromise your privacy? Clean history wit

Waterfox Portable (64-Bit)

Many different Web browsers are built on Mozilla's open-source Firefox project, including Waterfox, a 64-bit version of Firefox. Waterfox takes advantage of a variety of speed-boosting technologies found in most current Intel CPUs and the latest AMD processors, too, such as SSE3, AVX, and Jemalloc. Of course, while your Internet connection's speed and reliability will have a much greater impact on your day-to-day browsing speed than your browser will, a 64-bit browser offers some advantages in 64-bit Windows, such as increased speed and improved stress handling. The 64-bit Waterfox is also available in a fully portable versio
Smart Address Bar (Firefox)

Smart Address Bar is a free Web browser add-on that turns your address bar into a search tool. "My address bar is already a search tool," you say? Ours too, but we were a little surprised to find that Smart Address Bar made actual improvements. We tried Smart Address Bar for Firefox in Firefox 9x. While we were trying it, Firefox 10 came out, but Smart Address Bar handled the update fine. As with other Firefox add-ons, activating Smart Address Bar requires restarting Firefox, which is easy enough to do without losing any open pages. Smart Address Bar's add-ons manager page contains basic documentation as well as a Web link and update options. But it needs no explanation to use: Simply type the first few letters of your search term in the address field, and Smart Address Bar starts displaying increasingly specific results in a drop-down list view, with the search terms highlighted and underlined. This method has several advantages, such as brevity, since you often find your site with just a few letters. But it also tends to find things you might not look for: Not-so-close misspellings, for example, or a related word you've never seen before, or the very site you were looking for but didn't know existed. We tried a variety of our favorite searches in Firefox with and without Smart Address Bar, using Google as our default search engine. Smart Address Bar grouped results by search terms, and clicking on an entry opened a more detailed page of results, if we selected it, or directly opened Web pages, since the add-on's searches not only returned hits online but also from our rather large collection of bookmarks. Mozilla's effort to retool Firefox and recapture ground lost to Chrome and other browsers raises the bar for add-ons, which became like barnacles on a racing sloop's hull to the former champ. Whether Smart Address Bar makes the cut in your system is a matter of personal preference. We think it's definitely worth a look.
Awesome Screenshot for Firefox

Diigo's Awesome Screenshot for Firefox is a fairly accurate description of this free extension for Mozilla Firefox: it's pretty awesome, as screenshot tools go. With it, you can quickly capture, edit, and monkey with screen captures before you send them to your friends. You can add text, arrows pointing here and there, and other effects while you're still waiting for your "full-featured" graphics tool to load. Awesome Screenshot installs without requiring Firefox to be restarted, and it has its own Options sheet, though we could configure its updates from the Firefox add-on manager page. Awesome Screenshot's icon resides at the extreme right of Firefox's address bar, with its own menu for capturing the visible screen or the entire window and accessing the Options. Awesome Screenshot's functional options consist of choosing between PNG and JPEG formats for saving captured images and setting hot keys for its two screen capture modes. But Awesome Screenshot does more than just capture the visible or entire window, of course. We started by capturing an image of our visible desktop, which opened in a new tab in Firefox, but with Awesome Screenshot's toolbar showing. This simple palette contains all the tools you need to do the most essential image-editing jobs, which is to say, the ones you need most often: Crop, Blur, Add Text, and Rectangle and Ellipse selection tools. Our favorite was the Arrow tool, which draws pointing arrows automatically, in any color you choose, simply by clicking one point and dragging the line in the direction you want to point. The Blur tool let us obscure the faces of innocent bystanders, and we could type in captions, smart-alecky comments, and other annotations easily with the text tool and color picker. Better still is the Undo button (see above, "smart-alecky comments"). We could save images conventionally or click Done to open a page for supereasy posting and sharing online, or save images temporarily or permanently at the developer's Web site. Awesome Screenshot makes it easier than ever to clip, doctor, and fire off screen captures; used with caution, we're pretty sure that's a good thing!

PasswordFox

NirSoft's PasswordFox is a free tool that extracts and displays the passwords stored in your Mozilla Firefox profile or any other user's profile. It displays each password's Record Index, Web Site, User Name, User Name Field, and other data. It also creates HTML-based reports that you can save or print. PasswordFox works in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows. PasswordFox is portable freeware that runs without needing to be installed. When you first open the program, it automatically detects your main Firefox user profile and displays the data under headings that can be customized by clicking View and selecting the column choosing tool. If your profile is stored in a different location, or if you'd like to use a different profile, it's easy to do by clicking Select Folders and browsing to or specifying the file path. We could also check a box to specify a Firefox installation folder and enter a Master Password. Other options include the ability to add grid lines to the main view and add header lines to CSV/tab-delimited files. The latest version of PasswordFox removes UPX compression to keep from triggering false positives in Windows Defender and other antivirus applications. There's a Help file, but some users may need to open it directly from the program's folder. PasswordFox is the sort of supersimple tool that earns its keep when you forget the password for logging on to your bank account or favorite social networking site. As more and more sites demand longer, more-secure passwords, it gets harder and harder to remember them. PasswordFox can help you with that.
